In a world like today’s where technology and globalization are shrinking the world, yet vast differences in culture and wealth are pulling us further apart, not only do we as citizens have an obligation of responsibility towards one another, but the time has come for companies and corporations to step up and set an example as well.
We recognize this need and intend to be at the forefront of Social Responsibility initiatives in Singapore. We firmly believe in the thought that one person can make a huge difference, and applying this philosophy to our corporate culture, we then ask, what difference can one company make?
The drive that we have to answer this question is what sets us apart from the rest. Although, social initiatives are a relatively new venture for us, we hope to make it one our major priorities.

Supporting and Spreading the Language of Art
“Art is indeed not the bread but the wine of life.”
~Jean Paul Richter
Art is one of those highly subjective topics that are never quite appreciated for their true worth. The tangible as well as intangible quality it possesses to make people think, feel and emote differently is something that is not quite quantifiable yet highly valuable.
We believe and support the cause for spreading art awareness and literacy. This not only involves increasing art education, but more importantly increasing the love for and appreciation of art.
Therefore, we proudly support Art Outreach – a non-profit organization that solely depends on volunteers whose mission it is to increase art literacy and promote art appreciation in Singapore. They work towards this goal, by offering an art education programme to students in primary and secondary schools, particularly focusing on areas where children may not be able to get access to learning such skills. They offer education on a wide variety and scope of Art work, also placing emphasis on Singaporean and Regional Art work. For more information on Art Outreach please click here.
All they require is for you to volunteer a minimum of 1 hour once a month to help spread art education and awareness!

Sichuan Earthquake Relief Efforts
In light of the recent devastating Sichuan earthquake, we are starting a new venture from 7 June 2008 to 31 July 2008 whereby we will be donating S$10.00 to Habitat for Humanity Singapore for every new customer who signs up for our Circle of Friends Membership ($80 subject to GST). Rebuilding homes takes many, many years. We require your help in raising funds for this worthy cause. Contribute today, and you would have just helped create a habitat for humanity.
Microsoft Charity Futsal Carnival 2008 - 10 May 2008 We believe it is worthy cause as it is an initiative to help people with disabilities get equipped with necessary IT skills as well as to showcase their futsal talents. It is one of the events that we have sponsored.

In case you didn't know, the 5th of June is UN World Environment Day. Every year on this date, World Environment Day is commemorated to rouse worldwide awareness of the environment and enhance political attention and action.
In recent years, the importance of the environment and climate change has been highlighted and brought to the world’s attention repeatedly. And with good reason too. The time has come for every one of us to take a stand and make a change for the betterment of the environment. We at Olio firmly believe this and aim to be at the forefront of eco-friendly and eco-aware companies in Singapore as well as the rest of Asia. Here at Olio, being eco-friendly is not just a one-day event; it’s a lifestyle and a corporate culture that we adhere strongly to.
